Les Gombik

Managing Partner

Les Gombik is the Managing Partner, Prairie Region and has over 15 years of human resources experience. Based in Calgary, Alberta, he leads the National Oil and Gas Search practice with a particular focus on board and executive management positions in the energy, mining and related sectors.

Prior to joining Caldwell, Les worked for the leading international human resources consulting firm where he engaged with hundreds of organizations to help them address their employee attraction, retention and engagement issues. Previous to that, Les worked in the insurance industry, providing risk solutions to many of Canada's largest employers.

An active volunteer, Les is a frequent contributor to many of Alberta's largest charities and associations, including the Human Resources Institute of Alberta, the Human Resources Association of Calgary, and the Calgary Chamber of Commerce. Les is on the board of the Children's Wish Foundation and is also a Section Chair for the United Way of Calgary. In addition, he is the founder and President of the Bull Club.

Les has a Bachelor of Arts in Administrative and Commercial Studies from the University of Western Ontario and is the Calgary Chapter UWO Alumni president.
